A Podcast is distribution of audio or video media files through the Internet for others do download or just listen to.
When I think of pod casting I think of the TV show iCarly from Nickelodeon. Carly and two of her friends have their own web show where they record themselves doing funny things and post it on the Internet for others to watch.
Fun Fact: The movie "Zenon Girl of the 21st Century" (Disney Original) shows a young girl living in a space shuttle. There is one scene where she is in a class room in this scene the teacher is using pod casting to teach the class. Now this movie was made in 1999 before we realized that this type of technology could be used in the classroom.
This shows you that we are only moving forward!

So true! I would have had no idea what a Podcast was if I hadn't seen the show iCarly! Haha
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy to think how far we have come in technology. I remember in elementary and jr. high talking that someday there would be no classrooms, only a hologram teacher that you would listen to from home. With advancements like podcasting, we may not be far from hologram teachers...
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about that movie, but now that you mention it, I remember her having class via podcast. Who knew I'd be doing pod casting like that in college?
