Roxio Photo Show!

Photo Show is a website where you can take your favorite pictures and create a slide show. It is very user-friendly, and very self explanatory. All you have to do is add you pictures and personalize it. You can choose the style, the music, and captions. My favorite part was making a title because you can put who is starring in you slide show and who the director is. Some other options are adding thought bubbles, stickers and borders to make the slide show more interesting. I had a great time making my slide show (posted Feb. 9th). I used my little sister's senior pictures (which I took) and put them together is a show that she can use for her open house when she graduates!

What is a podcast?

A Podcast is distribution of audio or video media files through the Internet for others do download or just listen to.
When I think of pod casting I think of the TV show iCarly from Nickelodeon. Carly and two of her friends have their own web show where they record themselves doing funny things and post it on the Internet for others to watch.
Fun Fact: The movie "Zenon Girl of the 21st Century" (Disney Original) shows a young girl living in a space shuttle. There is one scene where she is in a class room in this scene the teacher is using pod casting to teach the class. Now this movie was made in 1999 before we realized that this type of technology could be used in the classroom.
This shows you that we are only moving forward!

Pod casting with Audacity

I am not a fan of pod casting! I watched the video on the homepage and followed step by step but was unable to get anything to work for me. After that I went to Googled pod casting and I found some good sites but I always got to a point on the site where I was not sure what to do next. I was super excited to make a pod cast, I was going to talk about some of my favorite quotes that help me get through the day. I downloaded Audacity but I could not get the mp3 thing to download and the youtube video made it look at lot easier than it was. So I just went to Audacity and started playing around but could not get anything to record. There is a good chance that it is my computer because I had to by this one by myself (dropped a glass of coke on the last one) so I tried to make it a cheap has possible by not getting all the "who haws." I am excited to see what my fellow classmates have done and I will def. be trying it again.!!!

Me and My Blogging Experience

My name is Emily. I attend IUPUI and major in Elementary Education. I enjoy watching movies and some TV shows such as The Office, Friends, and Greek. I am the oldest of three girls, but if you include all the step children I am the middle child. I just turned 21 and I am really excited about it.

I had a wonderful time creating this blog. I liked choosing my own template and playing with all the colors. I also liked uploading pictures. I am working on a slide show of my sister, Kelsey, senior pictures so I hope to upload that soon. (I like playing with all the gadgets on here). I like the question poll, I am really into The Office. I got seasons one and two for my birthday.
